It is officially summer, but that doesn't mean that the learning has to stop. Keep yourself busy, educated, and entertained with Southwest LatinX's fun and exciting LatinXplorers Virtual Summer Camp 2020! As we continue practicing social distancing, we are offering our LatinXplorers the opportunity to engage with our educational content, programs, and curriculums via Google Meets. Throughout the month of July and the first week of August, LatinXplorers can connect with Southwest LatinX on Thursdays and Fridays for STEAM-related courses as well as cultural and artistic classes designed exclusively by our organization.
It is dire for children to remain mentally stimulated during the time spent away from a traditional classroom setting. Many studies have show that those who continue learning during the summer will excel in their upcoming educational endeavors during the next school year. With that being said, children in grades 3rd to 8th are highly encouraged to participate in our LatinXplorers Virtual Summer Camp 2020. Our camp is designed to develop an understanding and interest in prolific fields such as engineering and software development while also exploring personal identity and emotional intelligence through artistic activities.
The LatinXplorer Virtual Camp 2020 will run from July 3rd though August 7th on every Thursday and Friday of each week. On Thursdays, participants will engage with Southwest LatinX's exclusive curriculums on personal identity, art, media, and emotional intelligence. For the camp's Friday sessions, Southwest LatinX has partnered with NCWIT Aspire IT to teach our young female participants the fundamentals on subjects such as robotics and coding. A similar course will be taught to our male participants following the female's session.

Do keep in mind that while we operate in the El Paso, Texas metroplex, we will accept enrollment from across the nation since we are offering the virtual camp 100% online.
